Lix Toll Garage
Gulf and Londis brands help site transformation
Another recent recruit to the Gulf network is the Perthshire landmark, Lix Toll Garage, situated at the junction of the A85 and A828 at Killin, and known throughout the region as the Land Rover Defender specialist and one stop shop for all things automotive.
The business also comprises car sales and hire, work shops and MOT bay, fuel bunkering and a 24 hour rescue and recovery service linked to all the major UK breakdown agencies. It was acquired 5 years ago by experienced retailer, Rik Sangha, who immediately embarked on an investment programme across the operation.
The recent introduction of the Gulf and Londis brands is the latest phase in Lix Toll’s transformation.
“When the site changed hands it was in need of much more than a lick of paint,” explains Jannette Bevan, Facilities Manager, Lix Toll Garage. “It was very old fashioned and Rik is improving all aspects of the business without losing sight of the strategic importance of Lix Toll for both the local community and the region.”
“A 24-hour self serve pump that takes credit cards was also installed as part of the upgrade to the forecourt.”
Lix Toll serves the town of Killin and outlying villages for miles around and benefits from a strong tourist trade between May and September. In the winter, its significance to the community multiplies; there is no fuel outlet or recovery and rescue service within a 30 minute drive.
