King determined not to be dethroned
Gulf Motorcycle heads for Norway
Ian King heads into this weekend’s FIM/UEM European Drag Bike Championship fifth round with a healthy lead over the chasing pack.
King and his 1500 horse-power Gulf Racing Top Fuel Motorcycle – competing on Gulf’s premium range of lubricants and gear oils this season – head to the Sunoco Drag Challenge in Gardermoen, Norway on 155 points – 40 ahead of Finland’s Petri Paljakka.
Having been at the top of leaderboard since round one, King will be hoping to maintain – and even extend – his advantage in Scandinavia and Hockenheim, Germany later in August ahead of the final round, on home soil, at Santa Pod.
The FIA "European Finals" take place from 8th – 11th September at the famous Northamptonshire Raceway.
