In store profits...up!
Gulf programme benefits dealers
Gulf’s award winning shops consultancy programme has done it again with a spectacular turn-around in fortunes at Station Road Garage, Shipton-under- Wychwood, Oxfordshire.
With footfall increasing by 1,000 customers a month and annual cash flow by £350k, proprietor David Johnson is naturally delighted. “Since joining Gulf and utilising the ‘Instore Profits’ consultancy we have done a complete u-turn and business is now booming.”
Tony Bailey, Instore Profits, spent three days at the site, training management in disciplined stock control procedures and shop management techniques. The Mace brand was introduced and, with the support of Palmer & Harvey, a fresh, ergonomically-friendly shop layout was designed.
In Windermere, shop throughput at Rayrigg Motors increased by 13% after switching to Gulf and tapping into its shop expertise.
“Sales increased immediately; our shop had never achieved its potential,” explained company director Craig Smith. “Revenue is up and increased activity on the forecourt and in the shop has had a positive knock-on effect throughout the business.”
“Die hard petrol retailers are now becoming accomplished convenience store operators,” says Rick Edmondson, Regional Manager, Gulf Retail. “Some are achieving four-fold increases in turnover in partnership with Gulf.”
