Gulf looks to lead the way in customer service
Recent poll shows need for forecourt improvement
A recent poll conducted by Retail Eyes has revealed that only 0.8% of shoppers believe petrol stations provide strong customer service. The statistic is based on a survey of 5,712 people, and ranks as the worst for shoppers.
50% of those polled believe the best attribute for providing good customer service is ‘listening and understanding what the customer is looking for'.
Hotels came out on top of the vote with 27%, followed by restaurants at 22%. Banks polled 8% with bars/pubs gaining just 4%.
"Customer service and satisfaction is obviously an important area of any business," explains Keith Jewers, Director, Gulf Retail. "These are concerning figures, ones that I'm sure will make everybody in the industry sit up and take notice."
