Gulf is the first oil company to offer this complete service which could save a dealer thousands of pounds and is available with immediate effect to all new Gulf dealers and re-signs.

"It is an operational fact that most pump meters drift, resulting in over dispensing," continues Jewers. "Within the UK many dealers do recognise the implications and implement stringent stock management procedures. Others do not, some even relying on ad hoc trading standard checks. With the legal tolerance set at 1%, a dealer with an annual throughput of 2million litres could still be giving away more than 5,000 litres each year."
