Gulf back in the UK
Without any presence in the UK since 1997, independent Yorkshire oil company Bayford entered into an exciting partnership with Gulf Oil International. This would bring the legendary Gulf brand back to the UK - providing an independent alternative to the multinational oil companies. The Gulf filling station network soon became the fastest growing forecourt brand in the UK today.
Also purchased by Bayford were 409 Save Group petrol stations in a £47m joint venture with property entrepreneur, Jack Petchey. This collaboration saw many of both the Save Group and Bayford petrol stations moving to Gulf.
