Gulf Oil International’s official motorsport partner, Aston Martin Racing (AMR) unveils its new ground-up developed LMP1 race car, the AMR-One.
The Gulf Oil sponsored and liveried AMR-One, is a new open-top LMP1 race car featuring a 2.0 litre turbocharged, in-line six cylinder and direct injection petrol engine. It has been developed for a new bespoke carbon fibre chassis, designed and manufactured by Aston Martin Racing.
The driver line up for 2011 will consist of Darren Turner (Great Britain) Stefan Mücke (Germany) and Christian Klien (Austria), who will join the team piloting the 007 car. Adrian Fernandez (Mexico), Andy Meyrick (Great Britain) and Harold Primat (Switzerland) will be teaming up to drive the 009 car.
Meanwhile, Gulf announces its title sponsorship of Ian King’s extreme power challenger for the 2011 FIM UEM European Top Fuel Bike Championship. The bike will compete on Gulf’s premium range of lubricants and gear oils as it aims to become the fastest accelerating motorcycle in the world.
