Select web browser settings to suit you; change the colours, fonts and sizes.
Normally web pages are displayed in your web browser using fonts, font sizes and colours chosen by the web sites authors.
However, with most web browsers you can override this and set your own preference, so every web site you visit will use your choice of font, font size and text/background colour.
Below there is a quick guide on accessing this feature in the most popular web browsers. More detailed information on setting your own font and colour choices can usually be found in help menu of your web browser program:
-
Microsoft Internet Explorer: PC Users: Go to the "Tools" menu, select "Internet options" link. The buttons to select colours, fonts and other accessibility options are at the bottom of the Internet Options window that appears. Mac Users: Go to the "Explorer" menu (or "File" menu if using MacOs 9) and choose the "Preferences" link. In the window that appears, to change the colours choose the "Web Content" link on the left or to change the font choose the "Language/Fonts" link on the left.
