Gulf adds new batch of sites
Gulf Retail has signed five more sites around the country to add to its stable of dealers. The forecourts, all independents run by different owners, have recently opened under Gulf or are due to open before the year-end. Two independent retailers have switched to the Gulf brand in Cumbria, saying they have been attracted by the company's understanding of local markets. Le Mans return

Girvans scoops double award honours!
Girvans of Aberfeldy has clinched two highly acclaimed retail industry awards, winning the Londis Best Forecourt Shop 2008, and remarkably the top accolade Londis Best Overall Shop 2008. The Perthshire family business, which also includes a Gulf-supplied forecourt, hardware shop, extensive outdoor sports store and motor workshop, claimed the outstanding double victory from an initial 2,100 UK stores. Going the extra mile
In the midst of the Grangemouth strike chaos last week, Gulf Retail came to the rescue of hundreds of Scottish motorists with a special delivery of fuel to Girvans of Aberfeldy in Perthshire and Great Glen service station at Fort Augustus. The fuel was uplifted from a depot on the Thames and was driven 630 miles by Dave Lemaitre of Sucklings Transport. Read more...
