A busy year for Gulf
Bayford & Co Ltd launches a new business, Gulf Lubricants UK, in association with Gulf to market and sell oil. And with the first of the new wave of Gulf forecourts making their appearance in the UK, Gulf broke new ground with the launch of a racing fuels operation, making it available directly from Gulf headquarters in Wetherby.
Gulf secured the retail fuel rights for Britain's first superspeedway racing track. The famous Gulf racing livery was carried out in the UK by sports car racer Chris Cooper with Caterham Championship contender unveiled alongside the legendary Gulf Porsche 917. Gulf also joined the International Forecourt Fuel Equipment Show line-up of exhibitors and presented the relaunch of Gulf Lubricants.
Gulf awarded Suckling Transport a one-year contract to distribute fuel to its network of sites in the South East of England. These also saw the first tankers sporting the legendary blue and orange livery of Gulf.
Gulf also joined the line-up of the International Forecourt & Fuel Equipment show (IFFE) this year. They presented the relaunch of Gulf Lubricants, promoting their commitment to the UK independent forecourt sector.
